Question by : what classes should you take to go to college for forensic science?
i am taking criminal justice this year (sophomore year of high school) and i’ll hopefully take forensics next year but what grades do you need to go to college for forensic science? and what should you do outside of school to get into college for forensic science?

Nothing special it’s just a major in college. Take extra science classes for electives (those are more important than law enforcement since you want to be a scientist). Obviously try to get good grades but the grades you need depend on the school more than the major.

Would a dual degree in Anthropology and Criminology be helpful later on when i plan to become a forensic anthropologist?

Having a dual degree or double major in anthropology and criminology would most likely not help you out that much. If anything, just do a minor in criminology. Forensic Anthropologists are part of the legal system but are not as directly involved with it as a say a lawyer or police officer is. It you want to double major you would be much better off if you went with biology or chemistry, since you will be doing much of your work in a lab setting. A degree in criminology is not needed to become a forensic anthropologist. It would not hurt you if you double majored in it, but it would most likely not give you an advantage over other applicants to a graduate program in forensic anthropology. Good Luck.
