I’m currently a Junior in a Criminal Investigations program in at a SUNY college. It’s a Bachelor of Technology program. I am in the National Criminal Justice Honor society.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any colleges/universities that have a Master’s of Forensic Science program. Please provide a link if possible.

Four schools you might want to take a look at are: Michigan State, Boston University, Syracuse, and George Washington University. All offer a masters degree in forensic science.

You will probably need to choose from biology, chemistry, physics. Most schools do not have a major called Forensic Science. If you think about CSI, they use lots of different specialties.

Not every part of forensic requires you to deal with dead bodies,as far as my researching,Correct?
Digital Forensic Scientist:Investigate electronic and digital media involved in a crimal
case.
Forensic Archeologist/Anthropolgists:Study human remains and other skeletal fossils.
Forensic DNA Analysis Specialist:Determine the identity and the maternal or paternal relationship of suspects and victims.
Forensic Entomologists: Investigate any and all insects involved or around a crime
scene.
Forensic Geologists:Study any geological matter, such as soil,in a case.
Forensic Meteorologists:Study the weather conditions were as a crime took place.
Forensic Odontologists (Forensic Dentistry):Deals with proper handling, examination and evaluation of dental evidence

Ummm, if you don’t like dead bodies maybe forensic science isn’t for you. And anyways, the hands-on experience in a lab setting is the only way you’ll really learn anything valuable so I wouldn’t recommend an online degree for that field.

I would imagine they probably do, yes, but I think it would be within either a chemistry or biology department, as a concentration. When I looked through their majors and minors (here: http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/learning/majors_minors/index.shtml) I couldn’t find it on its own.

I really wanted to go to MIT, but they don’t offer a direct degree in Forensic Science. I am a very intelligent student and could probably make it into MIT, but they don’t offer that exact degree.
